5-Year Pro-rated Filter Warranty Austin Air’s filter is designed to last for five years. That means if your filter must be replaced within two years, which is highly unlikely, Austin Air will replace your filter and you only pay 40 percent of the filter’s cost plus shipping. If your filter needs replacement after three years, you pay 60 percent of the filter’s cost plus shipping.
